Macherey-Nagel™ NucleoMag SEP
Description
NucleoMag™ kits are based on Macherey-Nagel's magnetic-bead technology and allow for rapid simultaneous purification of high-quality nucleic acids from whole blood. The magnetic bead technology provides a closed system, greatly reducing the risk for cross-contamination. The kits and Separator can also be used on common liquid handling instruments, allowing complete automation.
Using the NucleoMag™ method, genomic DNA is selectively bound to the NucleoMag™ Beads. During washing and elution, the beads are freely dispersed in solution. To separate the beads from the solution, the separation plate is transferred onto the NucleoMag™ SEP. The beads are attracted to the magnet. Meanwhile, the wash buffer can be removed from the well or the elution buffer containing the purified DNA can be recovered, respectively.
