• Axiolab 5 is made for the routine microscopy work that goes on every day in your lab. Its compact and ergonomic design saves space and makes for easy handling.
• Combine it with Axiocam 208 color for SMART microscopy. Just focus your sample and press a single button for crisp images in true color.
• The digital image will look like you see it through the eyepieces, with all the details and subtle color differences clearly visible. Plus, Axiolab 5 automatically adds the correct scaling information to your images.
• Microscope body is powder coated durable metal, heat treated and resistant to standard reagents used for staining, organic solvents used for cleaning of lenses and disinfectants.
• All optical parts including objectives, eye pieces, lenses, prisms, have anti-reflective and anti-fungal coating.
• Possible contrast methods are brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, and simple transmitted light polarization. Upgrades from brightfield to other transmitted light contrasting techniques are available. With Axiolab 5 FL fluorescence is available in addition.
• The microscope comes with a manual revolving nosepiece with 5 encoded positions, suitable for reading objective position for light intensity manager functionality and for scaling information
• LED (10W LED offers an expected life time of > 60.000 hours) or Halogen illumaition 
• The microscope provides an energy saving and illumination life time extending Eco-mode function, which also addresses environmental considerations. When active, your microscope automatically goes to standby after being idle for 15 minutes. 
• The microscope provides active light management with an adjustable light intensity. The light manager is suitable for all kinds of objectives. The light intensity is memorized per objective and provides uniform brightness at all magnifications, eliminating manual lamp intensity adjustments when changing objectives.
• The microscope body is equipped with two integrated, ergonomically positioned “snap image buttons” close to the focus drive on both sides of the microscope body to minimize hand movements and to optimally support left and right handed users. The “snap image button” allows to acquire images and videos directly from the stand (with Axiocam 208/202 in stand-alone mode and with Labscope; with any Axiocam with ZEN)
• The microscope offers a mechanical, rackless stage with hardcoat anodized surface, for right hand operation (optionally left hand). The stage handle comes with 15 mm extension and with adjustable torque to ensure an ergonomic working position that reduces fatigue. A dual specimen holder for one-hand operation with spring lever left is included.
