Simplify allergen testing to ensure compliance with food product labeling requirements with ELISA Systems™ Egg Residue Detection Enhanced Kit. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay is designed to deliver simple, sensitive and fast detection and quantification of egg residue in food and environmental samples. This enhanced, ready-to-use kit is developed and optimized to specifically detect heat stable Ovomucoid egg protein in order to avoid false negative results in high heat treated samples.

Use ELISA Systems Egg Residue Detection Enhanced Kit for the rapid detection and quantification of egg residue material in food and environmental samples. The Enhanced Kit is designed to detect lower concentrations of heat stable egg white allergen, Ovomucoid, than the Egg Residue Detection Kit and is less susceptible to underestimation caused by cooking.

Ovomucoid is known to be one of the main allergens in egg white and appears to be allergenic in minute quantities3. Because of its allergenic and heat-stable properties, Ovomucoid was chosen as the indicator protein for the ELISA Systems Egg Residue Detection Enhanced Kit. The kit standards are made from egg powder, and the results are expressed as ppm (mg/kg) egg powder.

All results should be interpreted as part of a HACCP plan for food allergens. Any sample returning a positive result should be regarded as a presumptive result, and confirmation or further testing should be performed.
