Hexaethylene glycol exhibits antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-cancer properties. It also shows potential application as functional hydraulic fluids. Further, it is employed in the synthesis of binaphthol-based macrocyclic ethers using intramolecular oxidative coupling with CuCl(OH).
