Description
- Recognizes human CCL5
- CCL5 (RANTES) belongs to CC chemokine family
- Strongly expressed in human and murine liver upon injury
- Produced by cell types: platelets, macrophates, endothelial and stellate cells
- CCL5 recruits T cells, dendritic cells, eosinophils, NK cells, mast cells and basophils to sites of inflammation by interacting with G-protein-couples receptors (CCR1, CCR3 and CCR5)
- CCRS5: promote efficient anti-tumor immune responses and associated with cancer progression and metastasis
Process:
- Antibody specific for human CCL5 pre-coated onto microwells
- Human CCL5 protein in samples captured by the coated antibody after incubation
- After extensive washing, another antibody of biotinylated specific for human CCL5 is added to detect captured human CCL5 protein
- For signal development, Streptavidin-HRP is added, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent
- Solution containing sulfuric acid used to stop color development and color intensity
- Proportional to quantity of bound protein, measurable at 450 nm with correction wavelength set at 630 nm
