Description

Description

Protein A and Protein G Mag Sepharose are magnetic beads designed to simplify enrichment of target proteins by immunoprecipitation or pull-down applications. The magnetic beads are based on Sepharose with native protein A or native protein G as ligand. Protein A and Protein G have high affinities for the Fc region of IgG antibodies and offer differing affinity characteristics across a broad range of mammalian IgG species.

There are two protocols available for protein enrichment: the cross-link protocol and the classic protocol. The protocols are simple with elution conditions optimized for for downstream applications such as electrophoresis and MS.

Protein A and Protein G Mag Sepharose combine well-proven enrichment methods with the magnetic beads platform, which has ideal properties for small-scale sample preparation. Together with MagRack 6, a separation tool for six microcentrifuge tubes, up to six samples can be processed in parallel.

  • Visible and dense Sepharose based magnetic beads with protein A or protein G ligand, easy to spot and collect bound target protein
  • Non-adherent beads eliminate smearing effects and aggregate formation. Can be used without detergents
  • Simple capture of target protein in small or large sample volumes (low microliter to high milliliter scale)
  • Optimized capacity for enrichment/immunoprecipitation of target proteins - only low amounts of antibody needed
