Selective LXR inverse agonist. Exhibits no significant activity at other nuclear receptors at maximally effective concentration. Inhibits the Warburg effect and lipogenesis by down-regulation of LXR-mediated gene expression. Selectively reduces cell viability and induces apoptosis in cancer cell lines in vitro.
